About us

Exmoor Glass is a small business by the sea at Porlock Weir. Dinky, fantastic glass work made by some of the former Bristol Blue Glass makers, together with the inimitable Sarah Morris, is available here.

We aim to create the most pleasant experience possible for everyone involved and we hope you join us in this whimsical glass adventure.

Sarah Morris

After graduating from Plymouth College of Art in 1999 with a BA in Ceramics, Glass and Metalwork, Sarah visited Kitengela Glass in Kenya, an experience that inspired her to dedicate her career to working with glass.

She initially trained as a glassblower for 5 years and went on to teach glassblowing at The Glass Hub in Wiltshire.

Fascinated by the possibilities of working on a miniature scale, she taught herself the art of lampworking – the process of shaping hot glass in a flame. Her love of creating tiny objects and intricate details continues to influence her work today.

For the past five years, her primary focus has been developing the Dinkies range of miniature glass sculptures for Bristol Blue Glass, combining craftsmanship, creativity and a lifelong passion for making small-scale glass art.

Georgina White

Georgina graduated in Design Crafts from DeMontfort University Leicester, specialising in Glass Blowing. Since then she has developed her skills at Station Glass and Bristol Blue Glass.

Later in her making career she has had the opportunity to expand her skill set to also include Jewellery and Lampworking. Known for her exacting standards and precise and meticulous work, she joins us to delight us with her Bonsai trees and other creations.

Tyron Sheppard

Tyron is a professional glass artist and glassblower with over 12 years of experience in the craft. Beginning his career at Bristol Blue Glass in 2015, he progressed from apprentice to Production Manager while developing a broad range of hot glass and freeblown production skills.

Today, Tyron creates distinctive handmade glass pieces that combine technical excellence with a unique artistic vision, drawing inspiration from illustration, storytelling, and contemporary design. His work has been shaped by collaborations with makers and studios throughout the UK and beyond.

Suzanne Adlington

Suzanne originally trained as a Lawyer, her career path changed when she married James Adlington, Glass Artist and the founder of Bristol Blue Glass Ltd.

Suzanne started experimenting with glass in 1999 wondering why her husband was so captivated by the material. Fusing glass using her husband's handmade kilns she soon experienced the fascination for herself.
"that feeling you have as an 7 year old on christmas morning, is what its like waiting for your creations to cool - you just dont expect feelings like that as a grown up".

While her children were young she ran Exmoor Glass which enabled her to experiment and create jewellery and other items in glass and other materials at beautiful Porlock Weir.

In 2012, when James became ill, Suzanne took over day to day management of Bristol Blue Glass Ltd - in many ways this has been the largest creative project she has undertaken so far. She has spent the last 14 years - first effecting a corporate turnaround for BBG and then developing it.

Its closure was forced in 2026 as a result of unaffordable energy costs and international instability.
